About the role
As an IT Application Manager, you take overall responsibility for the operation, further development, and stability of our corporate applications while actively driving digitalization across the organization.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Monitoring, planning, customizing, and continuously optimizing our application landscape
- Analyzing and further developing business processes and translating them into internal IT, digitalization, and automation projects, including also at group level
- Initiating, managing, and implementing IT, digitalization, and automation projects
- Strategically developing and shaping the application landscape
- Evaluating new technologies (e.g. cloud services, Power Platform, AI-based applications) with regard to scalability, standardization, and business value
- Performing requirements engineering in close collaboration with business departments and stakeholders, including the creation of training materials
- Managing and implementing complex integration and interface projects (e.g. REST/SOAP APIs)
- Using and further developing databases, reporting, and BI solutions (e.g. SQL, Power BI, SAP Analytics) to support data-driven decision-making
- Designing and optimizing workflow and process automation solutions
- Supporting the assurance of system performance, stability, and availability, including troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and support for key users
- Ensuring IT security standards, compliance, and high data quality in line with group-wide standards and local requirements
- Coordinating external partners and service providers and managing them via project and IT service management processes
- Advising, supporting, and enabling key users at national and international locations
About you
- Several years of experience as a Senior Application Manager or in a comparable role with an international scope
- Technical or business-related education with a strong affinity for technology (e.g. technical college, business college, university or university of applied sciences, or equivalent)
- Solid knowledge of system architectures, interfaces (APIs), data flows, and the mapping of digital business processes within complex organizations
- Experience in IT project management, ideally in international or group-wide projects
- Strong analytical and structured thinking skills, combined with the ability to manage projects independently across multiple locations
- Confident demeanor and strong personal presence, particularly as an interface between people and technology
- Very good German and good English skills, both written and spoken
- Willingness to undertake multi-day business trips, primarily to our European locations, as well as to attend international professional and technology conferences

We determine the salary / wage together with you. The minimum for this position is 4.492,58 EUR gross per month, working full time. (Collective Agreement: Metalltechnische Industrie)
